Au Pied du Mont Chauve was born at the end of the 2000s: the Picard family then owned vines historically established on the Terres de Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint Aubin, and Puligny-Montrachet. It is therefore natural that the name Au Pied du Mont Chauve germinated in the mind of Francine Picard: the latter being the nickname given to the hill of the famous Montrachet. With an extremely rich plot in these 3 exceptional wine-growing towns, Au Pied du Mont Chauve offers no less than twenty prestigious climates including Les Demoiselles, Les Caillerets, En Remilly ... In a desire for synergy between the terroir and the wine obtained, the vines have been cultivated biodynamically for many years, the vinification is as natural as possible. Chiseled, delicate, expressive, Au Pied du Mont Chauve vintages are true jewels of precision whose perfectly mastered aging reveals to the palate a density while freshness of rare elegance.

Where does this unusual name come from?

Au Pied du Mont Chauve came into being at the end of the 2000s; the Picard family was then the owner of vines historically established on the Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, and Puligny-Montrachet estates. It was, therefore, perfectly natural for the name Au Pied du Mont Chauve to take root in Francine Picard's mind. After all, the latter is the nickname given to the well-known Montrachet's hill. Au Pied du Mont Chauve is bestowed with an extremely rich plot in those three exceptional winegrowing villages and

those three exceptional winegrowing villages andoffers no less than 20 prestigious "climats" - specially delineated plots of land, specific to Burgundy vineyards - including Les Demoiselles, Les Caillerets and En Remilly. From a desire for synergy between terroir and the wine we obtain, the vines have been biodynamically cultivated for several years, thus the vinification process is the most natural possible.
